The year 2016 was extremely bad for loss of so many youngsters in tragedy, ill health and old age snatching some of the lives and for all of them we salute with folded hands.

Starting from ‘Nam Team Ravi’ (he was only 29 years) early in the year, early in the year 2017 – January 1, Gowri Sunder we have lost so many important personalities. The biggest tragic death of Anil Kumar and Raghav Uday in helicopter jump at Masthi Gudi shoot is shock of the year 2016. It turned out to be an alarm bell for the Kannada cinema industry.


It was veteran director, lyricist Geetha Priya suffering from ailments, director Shantharam, Sarojamma who was known as Marimuthu, Rakesh Siddaramaiah acted in one film son of chief minister of Siddaramaiah, veteran comedy actor Sanketh Kashi, writer and journalist Gopal Vajpeyee, liquor baron and cinema producer L Hari Khoday, Ramesh Aravind father Mr Govindachari (his body was donated to MSR Ramaiah medical college),  Dr M Balamuralikrishna, legend of Karnatci classical music, Tamilamma Dr J Jayalitha one of the pillars of Tamil Nadu politics who made debut in Kannada and acted in six Kannada films, died when she was chief minister of the state.


Anand Audio Mohan Chabria, assistant director BK Hiremath,  actress and dancer Jyothilakshmi, BK Gangappa well known distributor, Subash Kadkol art director, MPG Ads Prabhakar, Padmanabharaju of Chitra Rasikara Sangha passed away in the year 2016.
