The dream of every producer of this sub continent is to eradicate piracy. It has been over 50 years; the piracy has been swallowing the producer interest. The union government and state government efforts to bring in the Anti Piracy Act did not help the producers.
Now ‘Contrapine’ – the team headed by Mr Durga Prasad, Mr Rahul Reddy and others have developed software that is a real answer to the long lasting woes of the producers.
This software was declared open by power star Puneeth Rajakumar on Thursday evening at Shangrila Hotel in Bengaluru. Noted actress Shruthi, national acclaimed director SV Rajendra Singh Babu, Kannada Film Producers Association President Praveen Kumar, former KFCC and SIFCC President KCN Chandrasekhar, other members of KFCC, director Dinakar Toogudeepa Srinivas were present at the launch of ‘FENDE’.
The live result of this instrument was also made available. The main emphasis is on avoiding piracy. A recording of a program done via mobile phones resulting in a bad impact of recording was shown on the stage of this team's new discovery.
This is the best answer and this software will be of great help when adopted in the cinema halls. Let every exhibitor make use of this new discovery to kill piracy stated power star Puneeth Rajakumar.
The backbone of this country is farmers. The backbone of the cinema is producer. This technology is very much deserving. As an artist and Kannada speaking I feel proud about the team effort of ‘Contrapine’ FENDE stated actress Shruthi. The team effort which was not possible elsewhere in India happened in Karnataka. The Kannada speaking team developing this is a very pride moment, added Shruthi.
FENDE is a piracy eradicating technological discovery. This is deployed in the theatre no one can capture the film on screen. This machine also indicates from which seat in the cinema hall the piracy is done. Once it is detected then the immediate police action is possible to take. In the coming days the advancement of the technology would be on completely avoiding taking the video shots running on the silver screen assures the team.
The recording done in SV Rajendra Singh Babu, Dinakar Toogudeepa Srinivas and Shruthi mobile quality was assessed and the sound recording was absolutely poor. This is the first indicator of the success of piracy eradicating machines.
Cinema industry personalities NM Suresh, Umesh Banakar, Navarasan, Ba Ma Harish and others were present at this event.
