The debut director from ‘Ullasa Uthsaha’ Devaraj Palan – the veteran associate and assistant director of nearly 20 years from ‘Tiger Gangu’ Kannada film in 1989 feels the god has not given the right share for him and it is not according to his name. Dearajana Paalu sariyagi Sikkilla….because he remained as unsung hero even after working with 25 top directors in his career.
Devaraj Palan started off with Rs.2000 salary in the film field was electrical supervisor for five years in his life. The work with patience and studious approach he had made him to stay for long in the career of course with not much of bank balance. He is married and living with a cute son in his family now.
Devaraj Palan agrees to the point that the bizarre of producers and equal number of director who came ever since ‘Mungaru Male’ and ‘Dhuniya’ not consulted senior assistant and associate directors. That is one of the reasons for the down fall he says. The experience always counts and it saves the producer from lurch says Devaraj Palan who has taken up his second film to direct ‘Hara’ starring Vasanth and Pragna in the lead. Unfortunately his second film is also remake of Telugu film ‘Chinnodu’ that was made four years ago. His first film is also a remake of Telugu film ‘Ullasanga Uthsahanga’.
Not much of honor, money and recognition Devaraj Palan feels he is in hand to mouth existence today in his career. I have not made anything in my life he points to his fate.
Meanwhile Devaraj Palan has to complete two songs of ‘Ullasa Utsaha’ before July 12 because Golden star Ganesh the hero of the film will be busy with his home banner.
The balance of payment is of course due to Golden star Ganesh but that is not the reason for film stalling from shooting from last two months says Devaraj Palan. The music director GV Prakash has not given the two tunes required to shoot he says. There is no controversy as such he affirm.
