The latest sensation in Tamil music, KP, has joined the Kannada film Godhra and is composing the background score. Director Nandish confirmed the development and said KP is already undertaking the work of BGM and rerecording.
KP will be the fourth composer to work in Godhra. Judah Sandy, Naveen Sajju and debutant Tony Joseph have composed music for the songs of Godhra. KP is composing the background score.
"Godhra is a political thriller and has a realistic touch. You can say the BGM needs the treatment that you find in films of Ram Gopal Varma like Sarkaar. KP has become extremely busy in Tamil and Telugu films. We knew his kind of BGM will be perfect for our film. KP watched the film before agreeing to compose," Nandish said.
Nandish said special care was taken to get the music suit the situations in the film. "Judah Sandy is known for his romantic melodies. Both the songs he has composed are of that genre. Naveen Sajju has scored for a mass touch song in which he is a proven hand. Tony Joseph is making his debut and brings in an experimental touch in using instruments," Nandish explains the reason for using three composers for the five songs in Godhra.
KP was a very popular keyboard programmer in the Tamil industry having worked with all top composers before making a sensational debut as a composer in Bodhai Yeri Budhi Maari.
Godhra stars Ninasam Sathish, Shraddha Srinath, Vashishta Simha, Achyuth Kumar among others. Nandish who has worked as an associate with Jacob Verghese for over 10 years has directed Godhra. The film is made under the Leader Film Productions.
