The prominent director of Kannada cinema with special thoughts and wide-ranging attitudes in film making Sunilkumar Desai is back in a musical film this time. That is ‘Sarigama’ for you that went on the floor at Gopalan Mall on Mysore Road on Wednesday afternoon.

Similar musical love story film of Desai ‘Nammura Mandhara Hoove’ was a mega hit. Now once again he is roping in music maestro Ilayaraja for six songs and some details re-recording work for ‘Sarigama’.

Desai wanted to keep the title of this film to ‘Sparsha’ made a long ago starring Sudeep but he has not given up the title even to this day. He is banking the young talents – Prajwal Devaraj, Sunil Raoh, Nakshatra in the lead for ‘Sarigama’. Prabhakar is heading the camera division of the 60 or 70 or 80 days shoot in some of the exotic places of Karnataka. I cannot put a budget limitation said Desai.

Desai did not disclose who are the producers this time but did not fail to disclose the story in detail that is precisely in his head this time with half of the writing work over.

There are three typical characters – the heroine Nakshatra wants to know about the love to fall in love, Prajwal is in pure love not for the sake of love and Sunil Raoh is showing off his love via happiness. How the heroine realizes that is pure love is the crux of this film. Desai quotes the Coffee Day incident where he was able to see a girl pretending her love and smoking.

Prajwal is happy to work Desaiji because he in his father combination there are many hits like Tharka and Utkarsha. He plays Manoj with ordinary living condition but big dreams. He patted Sunil anna sitting next to him.

Back to acting fold after two years exile Sunil Raoh feels this moment is proudest because Desai is the director of the film. I was not away from cinema but learning the important things in music said Sunil. This will be a very good film hopes Sunil Rao. Working in Desai and Ilayarajaji music is a life time ambition feels Raoh.

The second year Bio Tech student from Mount Carmel college Nakshtra daughter of top director D Rajendra Babu and actress Sumithra is the younger sister of Uma Maheshwari who acted in Uppi Dada MBBS and Kallarali Hoovagi Kannada films. I am crazy, jolly and with lot of excitement in this ‘Sarigama’ film informed the beautiful Nakshatra.
