The most prolific singer with high note and low note with equal ability Dr.C.Ashwath is remembered through his lovely compositions and songs sung today. As reported earlier Dr C Ashwath body was placed at the premises of Ravindra Kalakshetra and taken to Banashankeri Crematorium around 5 pm in the evening. He leaves behind wife, son and daughter plus a huge fan following.
Dr Ashwath scored music for 23 films, 4 documentaries, 34 stage plays, 24 television serials and 85 audio albums have been composed by him are richly popular. For the farmers his song Uluva Yogiya Nodalli….a song for Kannada film ‘Kamana Billu’ portrayed Dr.Rajakumar. Dr C.Ashwath traveled with music for over five decades in his 70 years of life.
Dr Ashwath ‘Kannadave Sathya’ and ‘Manuja Matha Vishwa Patha’ as envisaged by Rashtra Kavi were talk of the town. With 1000 singers he arranged for a musical show in Bangalore, in National College grounds Bangalore 340 singers took part for Nadageethe Jayabharatha Jananiya Thanujathe….In Bidar, Basava Kalyana, Bagalkot, Koodala Sangama, Hampi festival Dr C Ashwath was ambassador to the great poet’s lyrical contributions. He has traveled USA, London, Maskath, Baharain and other places. The last outstation program of C.Ashwath was in Shanmukhananda Hall in Mumbai the prestigious hall had the packed attendance for Ashwath musical renderings.
