Akarsh HP`s directorial debut as a main stream film maker with a family drama which deals with a dysfunctional family where everyone dreams of a better life with wealth.
The film has two parallel storylines, one sees a mother and her family of two children in search of riches and the other sees Don Prakash, whose days are spent as an assistant to his rival Joseph, who is killed by Prakash. Now looking for revenge for the death of his boss Joseph.
Lakshmi (the matriarch), Divya (the English-obsessed daughter), and Abhay (who lives for his lady Shruti) are all ready to cheat on the other if given the choice between wealth and family. For such a family, when a tragedy presents an opportunity to earn money of a lifetime, they are even ready to kill to satisfy their greed.
Will they succeed? The film depicts how Don Prakash, who has two dreams of not surrendering to supari or contract killers and finding a life partner, fits into this crazy story.
Another highlight that needs to be mentioned is the way the filmmakers have used physical comedy along with clever writing.
Still, apart from a few flaws, the family drama is a refreshing attempt to break into an under-explored genre in Kannada cinema and music director Chetan Ammaiah also deserves a special mention for adding a thrilling flavor to the second half.
The film is a witty drama worth watching in a middle-class setting,The whole family drama is a collection of silly snares that makes this a light-hearted experience.
