It is true. In the case of ‘Antharthma’ Kannada cinema ‘Prekshaka’ is not Mahaprabhu but ‘Paramathma’. Why? Over 2 lakh people have taken 100 rupees coupon and waiting since one and half months to watch the film. Well in advance after the film is made the producers (how many 100 plus) have notched up more than two crores and waiting for two more weeks to sell seven lakhs coupons pending in different outlets that also include the 1000 plus barber shops.
If this is the case why not the top directors and actors together get money from the audience first and launch the film? If I do like that audience would chase me and hit said Dwarakish.
However coming back to ‘Antharthma’ according to director Shanker the new attempt made is only to get the audience to the theatre and there is no ulterior motive. In the Bangalore the coupon is Rs.100 and each coupon purchaser would get one audio CD of the film and he is also eligible to take part in Rs.25 lakhs prizes that is distributed to 1004 persons. Just before two days the lucky winners will be announced in TV 9 show says Nagaraju of the Promos 9.
