For the first time in the history of entertainment via air broadcasting the Kannada film ‘Suryakanthi’ album was released by Radio Mirchi 98.3 with pomp and gaiety.
It is also a record for Radio Mirchi 98.3 as the listeners of the channel got the opportunity to hear the songs first. Such breakthroughs are happenings from Radio Mirchi 98.3 very often in different facets too.
‘Suryakanthi’ where audience would see six pack abs of hero Chetan (of Aa Dinagalu, Birugali) has Regina as his counterpart and it is directed by KM Chaitanya. The maestro of music Ilayaraya has scored the music for this film with lovely songs.
Sharing their views on the music Chaitanya & Chetan said, “Suryakaanthi has some melodious songs that is sure to win the hearts of Kannada music lovers, one of the songs is inspired by sixties Broadway musical. The romantic number sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Kunal Ganjawala shot on the pristine beaches of Goa & serene mountains of Uttaranchal happens to be our personal favorite"
“The movie is extensively shot in Uzbekistan. Some of the dance and fight sequences are shot in the cities of Tashkent, Bukhara, Samarkhand and in the snow capped mountains of Chemgan. We used dancers and stuntmen from Uzbekistan, incidentally among the fighters, there were kick boxing champions who have represented Uzbekistan in the Olympics!"
