While the ‘Thali Girl’ for the 12th Bengaluru International Film Festival at Kanteerava Indoor Stadium is Adhithi Prabhudeva, rocking star Yash will release the Chitrotsava Smarana Sanchike in the presence of chief guests Hindi film maker Bony Kapoor, ace singer Sonu Nigam and actress turned politician Dr Jayprada.
This is soon after Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa inaugurates the festival. Union Minister for finance Nirmala Seetharaman, DV Sadananda Gowda, state deputy chief ministers Govinda M Karajola, Dr CN Ashwath Narayan, Lakshman Sangappa Savadi and local MLA of Shivajiagara Rizwan Arshan will share the dais on stage.
The inaugural address will be made by Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy President Sunil Puranik.
The cultural event starts at 4.30 pm. At 7.45 pm ‘Cinema Khaar’ (Iran, Parshian language 2019 release 78 minutes film directed by Shahed Ahmed Loo will be the inaugural film.
From 60 countries nearly 225 films will star screening from 27th of February for a week at Orion Mall, Rajajinagara, Navrang theatre, Suchitra Film Society and Kalavidhara Bhavana in Chamrajpet.
