The need of education is increasing. The lost days do not come back. The primary need of education time is very precious emphasizes the 45 minutes television film made by Manik Group Productions D.O.Suresh Kumar.

The education in 1979, 2010 and 2029 is focused in this short film. Seena and Naga not educated run a hotel and vegetable shot hail from 1979 period. The intention of both is clear they want their sons Manu and Karthik to send to school to live comfortably in life. Seena’s son Manu spends his school days in park, playing cards and sleeping to his whims and fancies. But Karthik son of vegetable vendor turns a software guy. Manu comes to the software company where Karthik is boss as scavenger.

Director B Selvam even though not familiar with Kannada language is familiar with the present problems dogging the country. A native of Chennai brought up in Bangalore Selvam has penned the story, screenplay and dialogues. He has worked with ace cameraman Balu Mahender. For education slate and chalk piece was used, then books and pens and later in 2029 there will be laptops. Selvam is just SSLC pass out.

Producer D O Sureshkumar has immensely liked the thought of the director. He wants to take this short film to every village in Karnataka to alert the students who are on the wrong path.

Before the screening of ‘Education 2029’ the audio CD on Sri Saibaba was released by theatre personality AS Murthy, Appayya, Sanjeev Murthy and CP Vinod were also present on the dais.
