Here is some happy news for the Kannada audience on the beginning day of Virodhi Nama Samvasthara. It is a win for Kannada Film Producers Association headed by KCN Chandrasekhar that is a gain for the film viewers and it is nothing magnanimity on the part of the exhibitors!
The proprietor of Prasanna and Pramod Mr Anandappa, Navrang theatre KCN movies, Veeresh theatre KV Chandrasekhar have decided to cut down the ticket price by Rs.10 on all the classes from 27th March, 2009.
In Nandini thetre at Nandini Layout the proprietor has decided to slash the ticket price by Rs.5 with effect from Ugadi day.
One of the ten points mooted by KCN Chandrasekhar on behalf of the Kannada Film Producers Association has been achieved. Already the evening parties and media meets have been cancelled to support the producers of Kannada cinema.
Meanwhile the Narthaki theatre on the busy Kempe Gowda theatre has been spruced up and starting from ‘Kannadadha Kiran Bedi’ screening on 27th March the audience will have a new feel.
The prestigious States theatre with Bhoomika as new name with latest gadgets and seating accommodations at a cost of Rs.1 crore from senior film industry personality Tallam Nanjunda Shetty will be open in the second week of April 2009.
