In his second film as director, well known lyricist of Kannada cinema Kaviraj has given a thought provoking subject and he has made the rulers to think on this line.
Samana Shikshana System is what this film proposes and the support is needed for this system in the capitation and donation fee structure of private schools and colleges.
We have Kalidasa a Kannada teacher in government school. The students are deteriorating. That is because of onslaught of private schools. Kalidasa has a son and his wife wants admission in convent school. Kalidasa wife is hell bent in the house. He needs Rs.7 lakhs to pay the admission fee for his child admission.
In a major breakthrough Kalidasa takes extreme step of donating his one of the two kidneys to fetch Rs.7 lakhs. Is the progress after this is smooth and good?
No, there is more tension and loss of lives. Kalidasa extreme step of going on hunger strike for ‘Samana Shikshana System’ and ban on donations – is he going to succeed? You have to watch it on silver screen.
This is out of the box role for Navarasa Nayaka Jaggesh. He is too serious in the second half. Meghana Gaonkar is brilliant in her performance. Ambika, TS Nagabharana, Tabla Nani and children are convincing.
Gurukiran scores well in two songs, cinematographer Gundulpet Suresh has given his best. Editing should have been sharp for this film.
