A few years ago Madhu Bangarappa made a historical film ‘Kallarali Hoovagi’ on the rulers of Chitradurga dynasty. Now his elder brother Kumar Bangarappa is struck with a historical film on ‘Keladhi Shivappa Nayaka’ of 16th century. The common factor in both the cases is director of repute TS Nagabharana.
TS Nagabharana the sitting Chairman of Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy has worked on more than 16 versions of the film ‘Keladhi Shivappanayaka’ with scholars and professors.
For this special role Kumar Bangarappa who is lost in politics bouncing back to acting now in the title role of ‘Keladhi Shivappa Nayaka’ has grown long hair that is very essential for the film.
The film will be a revolutionary one like ‘Bhagat Singh’ made in Hindi. We are not leaving any short falls. This will be made in a wide canvas and there will be three heroines for this film. In the history books Keladhi Shivappanayaka has five queens.
The shooting that begins in the month of August would reach Shimoga and surroundings. The actual locations with periodic touch will be applied for the shoot.
