In a well attended ‘Shraddanjali’ – Ambi Namana the Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy announced that the home town of his Ramanagara will have Film University in the name of Dr Ambarish while the already announced Film City in Mysuru will be named after Dr Rajakumar.

On the issue of giving security and safe final rites as chief minister in 2006 it could not be all that correct with the demise of Dr Rajakumar, I remembered it and taken ample care in conducting final rites for Dr Ambarish he mentioned.  In fact HD Kumaraswamy wanted to do a film with his son Nikil Kumar and Dr Ambarish with the title ‘Rebel’. This could not happen. Ambarish has permanent place in our hearts mentioned chief Minister Kumaraswamy.

Former chief minister Siddaramaiah remembered the days of his friendship with Ambarish in 1973. He said he and Sri Deve Gowda forced him to join to politics. He was a man with no disparity. As a politician and actor he reached to a peak because of such qualities.

Smt Sumalatha Ambarish thanking the state government, media and fans said my husband lived like king and departed with honors for a king in his last journey. She recalled 27 years of married life and 47 years for my husband various producer, directors and co actors, technicians given able support.  He was a friend, husband, guide, philosopher etc in my life.

Abhishek Gowda son of Ambarish remembering the early days of one of the stays in Singapore explained how busy was his father in meeting people and this incident I remember because I want to see my mother smile he mentioned.

Sri Nirmalanada Swamiji, KFCC President SA Chinne Gowda and his team, Dinesh Gudu Rao, Shivarajakumar, Raghavendr Rajakumar, Jayanthi, B Saroja Devi, Doddanna, Rockline Vankatesh, B Sharavana, Munirathna Naidu, Dr V Nagendra Prasad, Sa Ra Govindu, Umasri, Jagesh and others took part in the condolence meeting on Friday morning at Dr Ambedkar Bhavana.
