The honest and sensible Regional Censor Board chief Chandrasekhar completed his five year term on June 9th 2009 (Monday) but he has been signaled to stay for a few weeks till new appointment is made.
Speaking to this correspondent around 11 am on 10th June 2009 the Regional Censor chief just retired Chandrasekhar said I will stay probably till this month end and go home after the new man comes in to occupy my seat.
Chandrasekhar’s outstanding career plus Indian Civil Service brought him to Bangalore. The only aspiration he had when he came to Bangalore is that he could live with his daughter. ‘I got a cultural shock when I saw the Kannada films as regional censor head five years ago’ he says. From then on he has set up guidelines to follow for film makers.
Chandrasekhar learning good lessons from his parents was taught that the corruption money is like ‘Nagarahavina Visha’. He continued to be the non corrupt official and proved his mettle as a good officer.
The rumor in Gandhinagar that Chandrasekhar will stay and getting extension is all false now. One thing is sure in the last five years Chandrasekhar the censor chief has taught right lessons to the film makers and applied breaks wherever it was necessary.
Who is next to Chandrasekhar? Wait for a few weeks and read in this column.
