The Karnataka Film Workers Artists and Technicians Federation showed the simplicity at the inauguration of the Amrutha Mahotsava event on Monday morning. On a well made stage to the right of it Dr.Rajakumar and Shanker Nag cut outs and to the left Kavirathna Kalidasa cut out of Dr.Rajakumar the leading lady of Kannada cinema Smt.Parvathamma Rajakumar unveiled the statue of Thayi Bhuvaneshwari and matching this unveiling in the background the Kavirhatna Kalidasa song sung by Dr.Rajakumar ‘Manivikya Veena…..was heard.
At exactly 11.30 pm the cinema workers fete was inaugurated and before that Smt.Parvathamma Rajakumar, Shivarajakumar, Raghavendra Rajakumar, KCN Chandrasekhar, Dr.Jayamala, Sa.Ra.Govindu, Hamsalekha, V Manohar, Jai Jagdeesh, Thomas D Souza went to the Samadhi of Dr.Rajakumar and offers flowers.
There was no speech and no dragging of the inaugural event of cinema workers. Soon after unveiling the Bhavaneshwari statue the 10 tableaus ready to go on a procession on 1st March 2009 from here to Bangalore Palace for the mega event Amrutha Mahotsava was also inaugurated.
Ravindranath the secretary of association of cinema workers said this seven days event is not parallel to any other event. Later Ashok the President of cinema workers association explained the financial difficulty of conducting this type of event.
After the inauguration the sweets were distributed and lunch was served to cinema workers in the afternoon. The first program of the seven days event of cinema workers is the mimicry of Dr.Rajakumar by Mr Ashok Basthi. After this mimicry by the top rated mimicry artist the mythological play is taking place throughout the night.
