A few of the friends in the software engineering flock in Karnataka Talkies to produce a Kannada film ‘Modhala Sala’ that is all about the first dash – be it school, teacher, love etc – all you find in this love element film starring Yash in the lead said Mallikarjun Gadag addressing the media on Wednesday morning. Yogish, Venkatesh, Jagadish all hail from Gadag district have taken up this first bite.

Purushottam a long time assistant in the camp of S Mahender and later in the camp of Indrajith Lankesh, Soorya is independently directing this film. It is always afresh in memory the first happening in life and for that we are adding various elements to make this film say Purushottam. 85 percent of the shoot will be held in natural light and only two par lights will be used for the film. HC Venu is the cameraman. V Harikrishna is the music director.

Yash the handsome looking guy was impressed with the ‘Shubashaya’ script narrated to him by this team and he is equally happy with this script of ‘Modhala Sala’. This is a love story and packed with family sentiments he said.

Yash is a Mysorean and I wanted him to be the hero as I also hail from Mysore said Yogish one of the producers. Yogish has discussed the story with his friends and then came to a conclusion to invest a part of total budget of the movie.

Mallikarjun Gadag in the camp of Toogudeepa Productions working for various directors earlier as assistant director is turning producer from this film.

The title Modhala Sala…is picked from the song in ‘Anthu Inthu Preethi Banthu’ Kannada film. The song was sung by Kunal Ganjawala.
