50 SAPLINGS PLANTED FOR RAZING 10 TREES IN KANTEERVA STUDIOS!

First axing trees and then five times of it sowing saplings! At least the environmental concern is so much! It happened in similar way concerning the film ‘Sanju Weds Geetha’ starring stylish Srinagara Kitty and most beautiful Ramya in the lead. This film is produced by Pramod Narayan and Murali Mohan.

Director Nagshekar of ‘Aramane’ fame and 75 Kannada films comedy actor razed the well grown trees on both the sides next the Chairman office at Kanteerava Studios for erecting Rs.20 lakh sets of look alike Central Jail and Maharani’s college for the film. For doing the mistake of razing trees director Nagshekar a well educated youngster consulted the Karnataka Forest Department and asked for 50 saplings of different trees. When the guests came to the muhurut in the morning Nagshekar quietly handed over the saplings and asked them to plant it in the opposite directions that are right to the CMD office of Kanteerava studios.

Even the media also joined the saplings planting on the occasion of ‘Sanju Weds Geetha’. In the morning Chitratara.com editor and reputed photographer R Manohar planed the saplings and later another photographer KS Mokshendra too planted the saplings.

When the media came to the film briefing director Nagshekar was waiting from the senior journalists to perform the activity. On the Utthana Dwadashi day very auspicious the senior journalists AS Murthy, RG Vijayasarathy, Ganesh Kasargod, Babu Dinakar, KS Vasu, Srivani and Rohini, Vinayakram Kalagaru, Parashuram, Yethiraj, Gere Murthy, Rajasekhar, Vijay Baramasagara, Usha, Swathi was accompanied by director Nagashekar and PRO Association President Nagendra to place the saplings, mud and water for new saplings.

The names of those who planted the trees will be put up at the respective places said Nagashekhar. Nagshekar instead of garlands has thought of this idea and he deserves applaud.

In the past the Kannada film of Jaggesh ‘Gundana Madhuve’ produced by D.V.Sudheendra, Shyamasunder Kulkarni, Ramachandra and Bakery Srinivas gifted small saplings to the guests to bring awareness on the environment and importance of trees. Even in the film for the marriage function instead of coconut Thambula the saplings were given for the guests. In another filmy marriage the guests were given the saplings as gift.

The veteran GV Iyer produced and directed the films on Dwaitha, Adwaitha and Vishistadwaitha on the ‘Thalegari’ he made the invitation cards.

To top it all the best film to come on significance of trees is ‘Banada Neralu’ of director cum producer Umashanker Swamy that bagged the special award in the Karnataka state film awards.
