Forty nine Kannada film personalities covering all areas like artists, make up, exhibition, distribution, production etc were honored on Sunday morning. The KFCC declared one from the media will also be honored on this occasion. It did not do so. None from the media was honored. The Telugu counterparts on the same day evening honored the media fraternity on the centenary celebration.

Besides this lapse or going back on promise made KFCC selected achievers names after a thorough meeting.  Karnataka Home Minister KJ George, Social Welfare Minister Umasri,  Dr Kamal Hassan, KS Ravikumar, Selvamani, Vikraman, P Vasu from Tamil fraternity joined on stage to honor the achievers on this occasion.

No one from the achievers who received felicitation was allowed to say a single word. Dr Kasaravalli could have been given a few minutes to address on this occasion.
