The Ajatha Shatru of Kannada film, strong political personality Dr Ambarish was set to flames at exactly 5.55 pm by his son Abhishekh in the Hindu Brahminical rituals at Kanteerava Studio on Monday.

Dr Ambarish passed away on Saturday night due to heart attack on the way to Vikram Hospital. It took nearly two days for the legend final cremation. That is because of his popularity and fan following.

On Sunday evening Dr Ambarish body was flown to Mandya for last darshan of ‘Mandyada Gandu’. Nearly five lakh people took the last darshan of Ambi. On Monday morning at 10.30 he was brought to Kanteerava Indoor stadium.

It was 13 kilometer procession on a flower decked special vehicle the body of Dr Ambi was brought to Sri Kanteerava Studio where the place was all set for his final rites.

It was uncontrollable situation for Sumalatha Ambarish and son Abhishekh. Readjusting emotions Sumalatha Ambarish came to the pyre where Ambi was laid and offered peck on right cheek, later she hold the two legs of Ambi and started weeping.

Abhishek before final rites hugged the face of Ambi and was in full of tears. Abhishek was consoled to some extent by challenging star Darshan.

After the Panchakavya spray on Ambi body, the body was lifted to the place meant for final rites by Dr Shivarajakumar, Darshan, Yash, Ganesh, S Narayan, Rockline Venkatesh, Srinivas pet of Ambi and a few others of Ambarish family members.

After placing the body of Dr Ambarish the state honors was given to him with national anthem while the national flag spread on Dr Ambarish body was handed over to Sumalatha Ambarish and Abhishek by Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy. Sri Nirmalananda Swamiji, Nanjayodaswamiji were also present.

Once the body was placed near the final rites place former PM HD Deve Gowda, HD Kumaraswamy chief minister, SM Krishna, BS Yediyurappa, Siddaramaiah, former Maharashtra Chief Minister Shivaji Rao Shinde, DK Shivakumar, HD Revanna, KJ George, DC Thammanna, CS Puttaraju, Sara Mahesh, Dr Jayamala, Basavaraja Horatti, AC Venugopal AICC member, DK Suresh, Shivarame Gowda, Ashok, Gangambika Mallikarjun Mayor of Bengaluru City, Dinesh Gundu Rao, Mohan Babu, Cheluvaraya Swamy, Dr B Saroja Devi, V Ravichandran, Shivarajakumar, Puneeth Rajakumar, Jayaprada, SV Rajendra Singh Babu, Gopalaiah, Munirathna, Nikil Kumaraswamy, Rockline Venkatesh, Yash, Doddanna, Arjun Sarja, SA Chinne Gowda, MB Patil, Jaggesh, Harris Jayaraj, SS Mallikarjuna, Kari Subbu, Kumar Bangarappa, Ramesh Aravind, Dr Srinath, Gurukiran, Aditya, Premkumar, Srinagara Kitty, Dhruva Sarja, Rangayana Raghu, Sadhu Kokila, Ajay Rao and a few others placed wreath in front of Dr Ambarish body.

On 16x16 specially arranged location the body was place, nearly 7 different woods were used, 10 different ‘Dhanas’ were mad, Sri Vishnu Sahasranama was chanted and the first sandalwood was placed by S Narayan and Dr Shivarajakumar.
