The Kannada film ‘Shivakashi’ that is going on the floor on Monday at Kanteerava studios in the debutant director B. Ramprakash film the famous screen couple of yesteryears Ananthnag and Lakshmi are acting together after a long gap.

The political differences made this screen couple not to see eye to eye for a long time and both exchanged unpleasant words on different occasions in the past. After ‘Amma’ Kannada film directed by D.Rajendra Babu a decade ago the hit pair on silver screen is playing important roles in ‘Shivakashi’.

In ‘Shivakashi’ starring Ajith of Patre Loves Padma, Manasi of Moggina Manasu and Yogesh Veer are in three important roles and the other two prominent roles are playing by Ananthnag and Lakshmi. Ananthnag plays the village chieftain while Lakshmi as better half is seen in the get of village woman and Annapurneshwari. This kind of role I have not done so far in my career says Lakshmi speaking to the director B.Ramprakash after hearing the narration of the film.

Ananthnag and Lakshmi hit films in the career are Benkiya Bale, Chandanada Gombe, Naa Ninna Bidalaare, Ibbani Karagithu, Mudhudidha Thavare Aralithu, Makkele Devaru, Nodi Swami Navirodhe Heege, Makkaliralavva Mane Thumba, Bidugadeya Bedi and Amma (based on the play ‘Amma Retire Agthale).

Another interesting factor in ‘Shivakashi’ is that comedy actor Sharan is appearing with his real life mother Radha Krishna for the first time. Hitherto Rukmini the twin wife of veteran stage actor Krishna mother of actress Shruthi was seen on the screen.

Sharan born to Radha one of the two wives of Krishna are seen as mother and son in the film ‘Shivakashi’.
