For a change this is not a box office battle but battle of elections to the 54th annual Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce. The election will be held on 8th May in the Kalyana Mantapa next to KFCC near Shivananda circle.

Who is going to be the winner of this KFCC President post is eagerly awaited. Basanthkumar Patil the former actor, businessman and producer of quality films like Naayi Neralu, Gulabi Talkies and ‘Muthina Thorana’ television serial is contesting for the President post while the strong BJP member producer Vijayakumar of ‘Simhadriya Simha’ is posing a stiff battle.

Vijayakumar has the backing of the ruling party and another candidate Janakiram is not using his powers to the battle of KFCC President.

Before Basanthkumar Patil filed his nomination the veteran BN Gangadhar was approved inside the circles of KFCC as President as he was supposed to be the President at the time Dr Jayamala took the President position. Now BN Gangadhar has been pacified for the Vice President of KFCC and Basanthkumar Patil was supported to the President Post by persons like Sa Ra Govindu, K Manju, Ganesh and others.

Looking at the admiration and supported extended Basanthkumar Patil came forward to pay the hundreds of defaulter’s fees that amounted to the safety of his votes. Basanthkumar Patil also released the manifesto on Tuesday evening and assured of many good works in his regime.

On the same day Basanth Kumar Patil threw a party producer Vijayakumar also offered a party and most of those who attended Basanthkumar Patil party were also seen at the Bangalore Turf Club party of Vijayakumar.

Vijayakumar the BJP member has the support of many artists like Jaggesh, Thara, Srinath and others who are also in the BJP. Vijayakumar is making silent attempt and his manifesto has not come out.

On Saturday evening the new President will be elected and along with the committee members of the KFCC will also be announced.
