BIG FIGHT ? 50 CRORE DEFAMATION ON KFPA BY KFCC

The release of four non Kannada films against two Kannada films (as reported in www.chitratara.com – Rs 125 crores verses Rs.10 crores) on 13th of January the Kannada Film Producers Association has taken strong objection and in harsh words alleged that KFCC members have taken bribe from non Kannada film distributors for release. The advertisement on Sunday morning in regional newspaper has indicated KV Chandrasekhar and Thomas D Souza in the bribe list.

As a result of it the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce President KV Chandrasekhar has decided to file Rs.50 crores defamation case against the Kannada Film Producers Association.

KFCC KV Chandrasekhar himself an advocate is filing the defamation on KFPA and advocate Dhananjaykumar and then called a meeting to seek support of KFCC members in this direction.

The Kannada Film Producers Association in the advertisement has stated that on 25th of January 2012 it is staging massive protest in front of KFCC. It has also decided to burn effigies of those distributors and exhibitors who have violated the rules at 11.30 am.

The KFPA in an advertisement has stated that the KFCC is creating problems in registration of banner, title registration, censor letter, 100 percent exemption letter, advertisements pattern there is stricture from KFCC alleges KFPA.
