The Karnataka Chalanachitra Sahakalavidhara Sangha and a few representatives in Gandhinagar donated the necessities for its colleagues on Monday evening in the wake of Curfew in 9 districts of Karnataka from Tuesday morning. This is in the wake of Covid 19 spreading in Karnataka.

The program fixed for 24th so that the colleagues celebrated Ugadi festival on 25th of March but the curfew ordered by government of Karnataka made the Karnataka Chalanachitra Sahakalavidara Sangha to hold the distribution of necessary food items on Monday itself.

Nearly 350 persons of the association of co actors were handed over Rice, Turdal, Jagari and one liter of oil with Rs.500 for maintenance for the week.

Till 31st of March, 2020 the curfew will be in practice and the gratitude for co actors is a welcome step.

Divakar Araga in a statement issued said it is compulsory for the members to produce identity card for getting the food items and Rs.500.

This procedure reminds the distribution of food grains to cinema workers when Dr Rajakumar was kidnapped and released in 108 days from July 30 to November 15, 2000.
