‘Kale Annodu Ellarannu Kai Bisi Kareyuvudu, aadre Ayke Madikolludu Kelavarannu’ was the statement of one of the Kannada literary giants Aana Kru (A N Krishna Rao) Like how the ‘Art’ extends hands for everyone and picks a few – the need for such picking is hard work, talent, dedication and enthusiasm to flourish.

Gouri Nair is one such actress who extends this requirement. She believes in the ‘Karma’ theory and says possessing the talent is necessary. An actress in Kannada, Tamil, Arabic language so far Gauri Nair says luck follows when ‘Hard Work and dedication’ is put in.

Armed with an MA in Mass Communication and MBA in HR specialization Gauri Nair is ready to take roles that stay in the minds of the audience for a long time. An author of a book ‘Rithu’ (In Malayalam) Gauri Nair has shown her growing and glowing abilities.

Gauri Nair has set an example and she has learnt the Kannada language in her just three films ‘Pattabhisheka’ opposite Yuvaraj Kalyankumar,  ‘Chaddi Dosth Kaddi Alladisbitta’ (released recently and doing well in box office) directed by Oscar Krishna and ‘Nainaa’ another commercial venture that is female oriented in Sridhar Siya directorial venture all set for release.

Gauri Nair is granddaughter of AV Menon a freedom fighter and senior journalist at Indian Express and Editor of Mathrubhumi, Veteran actor Thkkurissi Sukumaran Nair is her paternal forbearer. Gauri Nair`s two sisters settled down in Canada and Australia.

Gauri Nair`s father was a senior administrator in CCC in almost all GCC nations and mother is homemaker. Gauri is trained in classical dance and has a theatre background too. She received the best actress award for two consecutive years for her performance.

Gauri Nair debut Tamil film ‘Thondan’ directed by national award winning director and actor Samuthirakkani. She was seen in ‘Black Forest’ a national award winning best environmental film opposite Manoj K Jayan. She acted in ‘Two Days’ a two hours film made in one shot with Samuthirakani.

After acting in Arabic film ‘Alhara’ she was paired in ‘Pattabhisheka’ Kannada film opposite Yuvaraj Kalyan Kumar, next is ‘Chaddi Dosth’ and yet to release is ‘Nainaa’.

Gauri Nair coming up films in Tamil is ‘IRAI’ directed by Rajesh Selva (of Vishwaroopam, Thoongavanam and Kandaram Konden fame) with senior actor Sarath Kumar. She is optimistic and in Sandalwood (Chandanavana) Gauri hopes are high from ‘Nainaa’ – this is a film in which she plays a middle class girl who touches hearts of all family audiences.

Gauri Nair is very good at communicating her thoughts. All say Corona Pandemic snatched opportunities but I am an exception she says. I got several films to work and flying quite often this time she says happily.

A heroine with the right temperament Gauri Nair knows where to say yes and no. She does not want to be fodder for gossip news. She knows pretty well how gossip floods like the arrows of ‘Arjuna’.

A Promising actress with good attitudes, knowledge and knowhow Gauri Nair wants to pick roles that no one can replace her and make a talk even after her exit from cinema field,
