KFCC ABIDE BY GOVERMENT ORDER

The Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce, apex body of the film industry in a media briefing on Thursday evening disclosed that it would abide by the government of Karnataka decision to close the entertainment industry till March 31.

We have taken collective decision from all three sectors – producer, exhibitors and distributors have been informed. The films that were stopped on 14th of March would get priority for release again. It is only after Corona Virus 19 comes to an end in the state. CBFC has also issued direction in this regard.

Appreciating the Yediyurappa government in taking precautionary measures the KFCC President DR Jayaraj releasing a press note said it is true that industry faces huge losses. We have spoken to other operators like UFO, Qube systems to facilitate the films that were asked to stop because of Covid 19. All of them have obliged to cooperate he said.

In case it is a few days shooting and producers intend to complete they should take responsibility and take adequate measures. In case of any out of the country attendance, the producer should inform the right authorities to give medical aid he said. The films that have announced for the first week of April should reconsider and support backlog films stated KFCC President DR Jayaraj.

Kannada film producers association President Ramakrishna, Secretary of KFCC A Ganesh, Joint secretary NM Suresh, SA Chinne Gowda also spoke on the decision to close all areas of cinema business of entertainment till 31st of March.

Once the government gives orders for reopen, we would inform all sectors to restart their work added KFCC President Jayaraj.
