One of the best underworld films in the Kannada cinema history ‘Om’ – the film had discussions at the Censor Board for giving certificate that even distributed a few of the members is celebrating silver jubilee of release for this May 19, 2020.

It is a mega film in the career of Dr Shivarajakumar. Till 2015, October ‘Om’ was re-released for 551 times in 20 years span is a record too in the pages.

For this silver jubilee celebration Dr Shivarjaakumar fans have chalked out program for May 18 to May 19, 9 pm. The CDP – Common Poster Display is released simultaneously by top directors – Rishab Shetty, Yogi G Raj, Santosh Anand Ram, Bahaddur Chetan, Simple Suni, Pawan Wodeyar at a time from evening 4 to 9 – for every one hour on 19^th of May, 2020.

‘Om’ directed by Upendra in 1995 starring Shivarajakumar and Prema in Dr Rajakumar family production is the only film that was re-released 550 times in the last 20 years.

In the 551^st time it was with new addition of technology. It is DI with 5.1 sound systems for the film. The first underworld subject cinema ‘Om’ based on real rowdies life and some of them also in the cast surprised everyone in those days because it was made by prestigious family.

A money spinner even today and a saving grace for theatres in Karnataka are not sold for any television channel. That is one of the reasons for film craze in theatres.

On March 12, 2015 the film was re released in over 100 theatres with DI and 5.1 sound technology and craze remains. This is the first authentic subject on rowdy activity in Karnataka. Some of the real life rowdies have also appeared in this film. Kishor Films distributed this film.
