At the Kalavidara Bhavana, Dr Ambarish auditorium  on Thursday evening the Kannada cinema industry offered prayers for the good health of noted playback singer SP Balasubramaniam who is at ICU in MGM hospital.

There are news of SPB recovering fast and pretty good news is expected on coming Monday, the Kannada cinema personalities Sumalatha Ambarish, MP, S V Rajendra Singh Babu, Dr Hamsalekha, Suneel Puranik Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy President, KFCC President Jayaraj, Rocking star Yash, playback singer Vijayaprakash, producers Soorappa Babu, Rockline Venkatesh, veteran actors Srinivasamurthy, Doddanna, Mukhyamantri Chandru and others attended the prayer for good health of SPB Meeting.

In Kannada alone SPB sung 19000 songs. Dr Hamsalekha on this occasion made a separate song and screened it on a huge screen. Latha Hamsalekha delivered this song.

SPB is our ‘Asthi’, he has crores of fans. Prayers are from all over. No one is interested in losing such a personality mentioned Sumalatha Ambarish.

Rocking star Yash speaking on this occasion said SPB delivered a song for his ‘Rocky’ cinema and right from childhood he has been listening to songs of SPB and Hamsalekhaji. The songs are more valuable than what we learnt from text books. SPB is no doubt part and parcel of Karnataka. He should come back with full zoom and sing more songs, felt Yash.

Soorappa Babu well known producer at this time expressed his wish that SPB sir should come back and sing for long. He should sing in Hamsalekha combination for Rockline Venkatesh combination – challenging star Darshan film ‘Raja Veera Madhakari’ he hoped.

I wanted to go to Chennai with Hamsalekha to inquire on health personally but told not to visit. Two floors where SPB is given treatment are protected from other people, SV Rajendra Singh Babu. Happy because international standard treatment is given to great man SPB and he would be in full zoon again, said SV Rajendra Singh Babu.

Playback singer Vijayaprakash rendered ‘Mruthyunjaya Mantra for quick recovery of health while veteran actor Srinivasamurthy rendered ‘Ram Dhun’ – Raghupathi Raghava Rajaram….for good health of SPB.
