The new Kannada film of SK Basheed launched today noon at Kanteerava Studio received brickbats from the Karnataka State Minority backward, SC, ST Financially backward Brahmin, Lingayath’s Welfare Association for the posters put up in front of the studio.

15 plus women organization headed by Sunanda Kurikoti assembled in front of the gate and objected to the skin show from actress Rishika Singh.

The main poster with some graphic touch in which Rishika Singh is shown as if she has woken up from mother earth with face remaining normal is the cause of objection from the women cell.

Rishika Singh answering the protesting association said ‘Please show me where the skin show is’. In fact the skin show in Rishika Singh costume at the launch of the film ‘Yaaredre Nanagenu’ more than the posters put up.

‘I play woman of substance in this film and represents ‘Bhoomi’ the condition in which I wake up and explain with screenplay in the flashback is such a tough one.

In a nutshell the role is like ‘mother earth incarnation’ says Rishika Singh when media sought her reaction.

Karnataka State Minority backward, SC, ST Financially backward Brahmin, Lingayath’s Welfare Association not happy with the explanation from ‘Yaradre Nanagenu’ team is meeting the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce on this issue and submitting a memorandum at 3 pm today.
