The ‘Thuppada Hudugi’ renowned actress of Kannada cinema and a few other languages Ragini Dwivedi was sent to judicial custody for 14 days on Monday afternoon. The drug case is turning very serious in Karnataka. Another actress Sanjana Galrani got a two days extension in CCB for more interrogation.

Ragini Dwivedi in full tears packed her bag from Mahila Santhwana to Parappana Agrahara. She will be like any other inmate in the prison. Of course she has two police women for protection. The hearing for Ragini Dwivedi bail is on Wednesday – 16th of September.

Ragini Dwivedi was in CCB custody for the last 11 days and she was not granted bail on Monday and she had to move to Parappana Agrahara. Ragini Dwivedi was consoled by her brother and mother while her father, former Army personnel, advised her to keep courage.

In CCB there was provision for family members to meet but it is not the case in Parappana Agrahara.

In the Kannada filmdom challenging star Darshan was kept in prison for 28 days in the domestic violence case in 2011. Actress Monika Maria Sosairaj of OK Sir Ok, Yahoo, Ekadanta Kannada films was arrested in the Neeraj Grover murder case. Actress Yamuna is another one arrested in the prostitution case in Bengaludu ITC Gardenia.
