Last time we heard about S Mahender was about a film on Kannada at the time of ‘Kalidasa Kannada Meshtru’ of Kaviraj. There is no news about S Mahender Kannada film. He is now back again with ‘Pampa’ – not related to the Adhikavi Pampa. It is Panchahalli Parashivamurthy when expanded.

The film is now ready with post production. Has he given a new title to his earlier announced film? It seems so. However director of over 35 films has got the censor certificate as clean U film for PAMPA. This is a Kannada activist cinema = this clears the doubt that he has changed his earlier title. It is a poetic thriller. There are four love stories in this film. Every step is made with excitement and curiosity for the audience, says S Mahender.

S Mahender besides direction written story, screenplay and dialogues while Total Kannada Lakshmikanth is producer of this film, Hamsalekha has scored music. Apparently this is S Mahender and Hamsalekha 25th combination is PAMPA. There are four songs in this film. The poems of Kuvempu, Channaveera Kanavi are also used in this film.

Ramesh Babu handled cinematography, Mohan Kamakshi editing film ‘PAMPA’ was shot at Thirthahalli and Bengaluru surroundings.

Keerthi Banu, Sangeetha, Raghav Naik, Rajath Kumar, Aditya Shetty, Bhavana Bhat, Renuka, Ravi Bhat, Srinivasa Prabhu, Prithviraj and a few stage artists are also part of this film team.
