The multi talented youngster qualified in Master in Arts hailing from Gadag district Hullur Sharan has taken the big responsibility of a television serial for Udaya TV ‘Karthika Deepa’. Sharan Hullur a journalist colleague working in ‘Chittara’ popular Kannada film monthly magazine has penned the title song, dialogues, screenplay for ‘Karthika Deepa’ that is directed by another senior journalist Hiriyur Raghavendra.

‘Karthika Deepa’ starring Prithviraj, Malathisri Mysore, Chetan, Sharanya Sharanu, Vikram Udaykumar, Harshavardhan, Gokulananda, Girish, MD Kaushik, Vinutha Jain, Asha Jois, Sheela, Veena Krishna, Sudha Prasanna – telecast at 3 to 3.30 pm from Monday to Friday deals with the current social issues, medical field plus family trials and tribulations.

Sharan Hullur made a beginning as director of theatre plays like Namdhu Namge Kotbidi, Varadakshini, Punya Koti, Neera Habba, Merchant of Venice and later acted in Dharma Puriya Shwetha Vrutha, Asha, Jagajyothi Basaveshwara, Parisara, Mera Bharat Mahaan and Parimaladhavaru. He showed his skill of writing in the camp of director B Suresha, participated in many of the AIR talks and authored many of the meaningful articles.

He worked for the children camps at Hubli, Dharwad and Raichur and now working in ‘Chittara’ film monthly.
