The most lovable title ‘Kannadiga’ that was in the custody of crazy star V Ravichandran for the last three decades has finally come to him. V Ravichandran did not give the title he registered when NS Rajakumar asked twenty years ago. Now looking at the script of director BM Giriraj, Crazy star is bowled over by it and agreed to give the title and he is also in the lead role of ‘Gunabhadra’ in this film.

The film ‘Kannadiga’ went on the floors on Monday morning at Sri Mahalakshmi Temple in Seshadripuram, Bengaluru. Karunada Chakravarthy Dr Shivarajakumar clapped for the muhurut shot while Raghavendra Rajakumar switched on the camera for the first shot.

Sumalatha Ambarish sitting MP from Mandya is playing the role of Rani chinnabhairadevi in this film of Omkar Movies of NS Rajakumar, Director of Naviladavaru, Jatta, Adwaitha, Mythri, Amaravathi films BM Giriraj has made a periodic script with lot of variety in this film.

The film travels to the 1858 era and Pawana is the female lead. Sangammabbe is Swathi Chandrasekhar, in Ferdinand Kittal role is Jemi Altar (son of Tom Altar who figures in 1978 Kannada film Kanneshwara Rama). Kamarila Bhatta is Chi Gurudut, Mallinatha is Balaji Manohar, A Swamy role is donned by Dattanna and Harigopala is Achyuth Kumar.

The ancient time recreation is done by art director Hosmane Murthy and team. In Sagara, Chickmagaluru surroundings the shoot is planned. The first schedule is 30 days in November 2020.
