The veteran actor of over 400 films and over four decades of stint in cinema field Srinivasamurthy taken up the first biopic of powerful personality of the 20th century ‘Chellagurki Yerrithatha’ of Ballari district (25 kilometers from Ballari and 70 kilometers from Ananthpur).

‘Pavada Purusha’ (Miracle man) Sri Yerrithatha attained ‘Jeevantha Samadhi’ in the year 1922. The magic powers of Sri Yerrithatha are now a cinema. Veteran actor Srinivasamurthy is in the ‘Sri Yerrithatha’ role.

It is the opinion of Chellagurki Yerrithatha Trust that it is only Srinivasamurthy capable of doing the role made director and writer Purushottam to take up the film.

The devotees of Sri Yerrithatha are everywhere and the generations of the legendary personality are still living. Nearly 12 miracles of Sri Yerrithatha are inducted in this film.

Srinivasamurthy like penance took up the role and 20 plus days he stayed in the scorching heat of Chellagurki. The Trust of Chellagurki Yerrithatha extended excellent cooperation for this film. The room facilities, food and other environment plus the main focal place ‘Samadhi of Yerrithatha’ allowed shooting for this film.

Sri Yerrithatha came to Chellagurki in 1897 and lived for 25 years and he was no ordinary person at all. A super human soul and highly respected for his miracles, and whatever said was truth. People from Karnataka, Ananthpur, Curnool, Cuddapa, Koppal, Raichur, Ballari and other places throng to this place at various occasions.

Srinivasamurthy visited this place once when he was shooting in Ballari for Malashri starring ‘Kannadada Kiran Bedi’ and now he is in the role of Lord Shiva and Sri Yerrithatha.

Director Purushottam known for some of the historical films and social ones shot for this film ‘Chellagurki Yerrithatha’ at the places where the saint Sri Yerrithatha traveled.

Purushottam as story, screenplay, dialogue writer and director is also a working partner of this film with Mahadevaiah, Vishnu and a few others.

Srinivasamurthy appeared as the father of Sri Raghavendra Swamy in ‘Gururaghavendra Vaibhava’ of MR Pattabhiram in Ba La Suresh direction. This one is his first complete biopic.

Srinivasamurthy expressed his happiness on ‘Sathya’ TV serial of director Swapna Krishna. He plays head of the huge family. In actress Jayashri production house ‘Kasthuri Nivasa’ TV serial he appears in a guest role.
