It is federation of workers President Ashok aspiration to set up a ‘Story Shop’ to keep the remake films at a distance. When the stories are decided in the coffee shops why not a serious look to generate story at one place – according to Ashok it is ‘Angadi’ and give it to producers!

A very fine idea but the Hamsalekha Katha Kanaja in the past, Kannada Sahitya Parishat at the diamond jubilee celebration of Kannada cinema did not work out. Even the Remake opposition gangs have become silenced. The remake film makers went a step ahead in the last year in obtaining 100 percent tax exemption to remake films.

According to Ashok this is a platform for the right pick of the story for producers. Once they agree for the story in ‘Angadi’ they will be given the support of making good screenplay for it.

The main motto of this ‘Angadi’ is to give impetus to the producers to be self reliant instead of going for remake films. Only the seed is ours we have right to claim the fruit says Ashok.
