A long standing hero Jeevan film has been in the making for a long time! It has consumed one and half years for producers Deepak Shetty and Sunil Parikh to go before the censor board. The lack of experience has delayed the project of this three crores ‘Machcha’ Kannada film says this Metro Productions producers.

According to Deepak Shetty the film ‘Machcha’ even though obtained ‘A’ certificate is a clean family film. It is only because the underworld is touched in this film ‘A’ certificate has been extended says Shetty. To know the observation of family audience he has showed to family members they all said why the censor gave ‘A’ certificate as there is no petrifying elements in the film. There is no blood; usage of sharp weapons etc says Shetty who is very confident of his project that has a new treatment. The college educated youth who is accidentally in to underworld what would he do is the crux of the matter in the film he says.

Dathu (Dhananjay Kundapura) has written the story, screenplay and directed the film says there are 90 scenes, 76 locations and the film is shot in 76 days. We have started the film on 12th December 2007 and it consumed more time. For re-recording we have taken 36 days. I accept whatever the certificate the censor has given says but agrees to the point that his film is a family film. Even scene in the film has 40 shots and in the interval scene of 2.18 minutes there are 400 shots taken for the movie. The four outside artists also caused a little problem because we had to adjust to their dates said Dathu. The usage of 400 cars, 12 trucks, Volvo buses 3 jimmy cameras heightened the interest of the film says Dathu.

Jeevan is expecting a good result for his debut film. If I am get the tag of promising hero then it is enough from the first film he says. He agrees frankly the film is not extraordinary in subject but in treatment is very impressive he says.

A.C.Mahendran has handled the camera. M.S.Ramesh has penned the punchy dialogues, Arjun has scored the music. Jayanth Kaikini, Malavalli Saikrishna, Kaviraj, Nagendra Prasad have penned the songs, Balu Khanis the art director. Malur Srinivas, Five star Ganesh are the choreographers, Palani Raj and Different Danny have handled the stunts.

With Jeevan Saritha Jain is the main female lead. Rajan P Dev, Anand Raj, Satyaprakash, Ashok Kheni, Ramesh Bhat, Besant Ravi, Ghazar Khan, Dharma, Neenasam Ashwath, Bullet Prakash and MN Lakshmi Devi are in the cast.
