For those who are saying why you bring the ‘Rotten’ remakes to Kannada here is a new style. The Kannada film of yesteryears is remaking once again! That is what happening for ‘Naa Raani Nee Maharani’ a remake of ‘Raani Maharani’ made 20 years ago by producer Jai Jagdeesh in the direction of B Ramamurthy. Malashri starred ala ‘Seetha Aur Geetha’ style with Ambarish and Shashikumar.

Now after 20 years ‘Raani Maharani’ star the popular Pooja Gandhi (remember Pooja Gandhi is the only heroine in Kannada filmdom to play heroine in the highest grosser Kannada cinema) in double with the title ‘Naa Raani Nee Maharani’. Two Akshay – Preethi Nee Shaswathana hero and director B Ramamurthy son are in the lead roles.

Explaining the preparations made director B Ramamurthy said he has updated the story to suit the present scenario. The soft and hard roles of Pooja Gandhi are explained in a different concept. Without giving a room that this is a remake of ‘Raani Maharani’ we are prepared. B Ramamurthy brother Sathyanarayana is producing this film. Jai Jagdish the original film producer opted out of the making after initial discussions. I am surely using the popularity of charisma of Pooja Gandhi says Rammurthy.

Vinayachandra son of veteran journalist Suresh Chandra is scoring music for the debut film with good background of music. The song Kugo Kolige….Kaara Masale… will be retained in this film.
