New producer Annappa of Manchanayakanahalli, vice President of Taluk Panchayat arrives as producer with devotional films director Purushottam (Omkar earlier) handling the first commercial flick ‘Pagade’ starring popular television actor Vishwas Bharadwaj and Gamya in the lead roles.

The base for this ‘Pagade’ goes back to one of the reports in the popular magazine India Today in 2009 says the story writer of the film Harshavardhana. Krish Joshi a knowledgeable person and director of ‘Gandhi Smiles’ has written the dialogues and added more values to the screenplay. According to Krish Joshi the inter cuts, flash cuts and non convention style of narration – starting from 9th scene and catching the first scene in the film – this pattern is not to confuse but to give a convincing narration to the film ‘Pagade’. ‘Daryadil’ of Shahruk Khan where he dies in the first scene and story going back to explain the proceedings is followed in this ‘Pagade’ says Krish Joshi.

Purushottam is handling the direction part of this film. He has directed films like Renukacharya Mahatme, Sri Jnanajyothi Siddaganga etc in his career. He is basically a writer and contributed work for over 100 audio cassettes.

This is a mysterious love story and there are many twists and turns. The film has been bought by Rajkot Kamble even before the launch to Hyderabad Karnataka and Bombay Karnataka says the happy director.

Producer Annappa is investing on this film on the image of Vishwas Bharadwaj. He has been keen watcher of Kadambari and Rathasapthami television serials.

Harshavardhana who played senior to Sri Raghavendra Swamy in ‘Guru Raghavendra Vaibhava’ the subject is universal and relates to Karnataka and Gujarat states.

This is the 50th film of cameraman Gauri Venkatesh. Assistant to legendary Gauri Shanker this cameraman started his work in the camp of Dr Rajakumar in the days of Yaarivanu and Shravana Banthu as light boy.

Vishwas Bharadwaj believes strongly a team effort can win any plan. I have acted in paltry roles in 10 films and 15 major television serials. As a commercial hero I am launching from this film. I had to prepare separately for this film he says.

Gamya heroine of Central Jail Kannada cinema is the heroine of ‘Pagade’. I am basically from modeling field. There is enough of thrill in this film says beautiful looking Gamya.

Srinivasa Prabhu the veteran actor says the good efforts should always win. This is one such film he says. Sagar Nagabhushan is scoring five tunes in which two are dream songs. A song on social service is also part of this film.
