Well known director of Kannada cinema V Umakanth is back after a long exile. Known for films like ‘Anuraga Sangama’ V Umakanth directed 16 films so far and he comes back with a thriller this time with Krishne Gowda as producer and lead actor.

The concept of this film is based on a real life incident in Coimbatore. This is the 9th film of Krishne Gowda and he stopped acting after ‘Dadagiri’. Very active in parallel film chamber Krishne Gowda also supporting dubbing issue in Karnataka is not taking up dubbing of his production ‘AKT’.

Krishne Gowda produced film AKT trailer was released by senior cop M Manjundaswamy. Vaishnavi Menon and Ranjitha Rao are two counterparts. Sunder Veena is in a prominent role of supporting cast. AT Ravish has done a song and background score for this film.

According to Umakanth this is a new generation cinema a psychological thriller shot in the coastal belt. Yakshagana is also part of this film and Sundar Veena is quite happy for the participation in Yakshagana.

For Vaishnavi it is a performance oriented cinema. Snehapriya Nagaraj journalist colleague is in role of a television channel owner. Snehapriya got appreciation for his role even from censor members.
