IFMA FORMED – P MURTHY HEAD

The new association – Indian Film Makers Association involving 27 different organizations of the Kannada cinema fraternity was formed on Monday at 4 PM.

P Murthy of Dr Ambedkar Sene is the head of this association. It is supported by the central government and state government association.

The first branch of IFMA was formed at Srinagar and then at Telengana. On Monday 27th July it was declared open by P Murthy with blessings of Padmasri Doddarange Gowda, Bengaluru Nagesh, V Manohar, Nagendra Prasad, Pratham, Nagendra Urs and others.

Dilip Kumar is general secretary of the association. It is registered at the union level and also at state level. Producers, directors, technicians, cinematographers, co actors, dance directors, still photographers, production team, costume designer etc of the 27 units come under this IFMA.

The health insurance accident benefits up to Rs.5 lakhs is covered. For the registration it is Rs.5000 for each producer to register and Rs.2500 for all others to take membership. A member of this IFMA is allowed to work in any of the film industries.

When the IT returns are perfect the central government gives benefits up to Rs.1.5 crores. Like how the PF, gratuity, ESI facility available – similar benefits are available in IFMA says P Murthy.

Apparently this IFMA media meet was held at SRV theatre in Malleswaram after 135 days a cinema related media meet was organized by Sri Raghavendra Chitravani team of Sudeendra Venkatesh, DS Sunil and DG Vasu.

A few minutes of wishes made by film personalities was also screened before the media address by IFMA.
