KFPA AND IMFA CLASH
Posted date: 22 Thu, Oct 2020 – 01:14:21 PM

One issue but two associations working on it resulted in a shoddy result. That is true in the case of UFO and Qube on rental issues.

A few days ago a senior association Kannada Film Producers Association (KFPA) put forth a demand for no rentals from UFO and Qube operators for two years as the producers have fallen flat economically. It would be a great relief for producers who felt KFPA. It also said the advertisement revenue that UFO and Qube make at the behest of Kannada films should provide a share for the Kannada producers.

The media attended this KFPA meet at its office in SV Towers – KFPA President Praveen Kumar, K Manju, NM Suresh, A Ganesh and others addressed the media.

Now the Indian Film Makers Association claims that it has worked on the 50 percent slash on rentals charged by UFO and Qube. The KFPA made a demand for two years relief but IMFA went and got a 50 percent reduction in rentals. In addition to it the time limit of fifty percent slash on rentals is till December 31 says a communication from IMFA.

This is what happens when too many hands work on one issue.  The KFPA struggle for getting more sanction for producers seems to have gone in vain.
