The permanent Mr India from Karnataka Gym Ravi the former income tax employee has completed 100 films from ‘Appu Pappu’. His gym on Nagarabhavi Ravi is the oldest one in Bangalore is having many special features sometimes catering to the needy people too.

The muscular with good manners hailing from middle class family Ravi brother Harish is also Mr India crown winner but the crowns at the national, international and state level for Body Building Ravi has won is nearing 130 medals plus. Most of them are gold medals and he traveled 46 countries so far representing Karnataka state and India as key body builder and not lost even a single competition.

Ravi has traveled USA, Japan, France, Spain, Italy, Rome, Switzerland, Australia, Pakistan representing state and nation was spotted by V Ravichandran for ‘Sipayi’ Kannada film and he slowly established his strength in Kannada, Telugu and one Tamil film.

Mr India Ravi is very popular in Telugu films of mega star Chiranjeevi. He has acted in Telugu films such as Stalin, Jalsa, Kudumbam Shanker, Balu, Andari Wadi, Operation Duryodhana, Okkadu etc.

Back home on Nagarabhavi Road he has Ravi Gym where Chiranjeevi son Varun is getting training in body building as it is the second best gym in India. Telugu actors like Pawan Kalyan, Chiranjeevi, Nagendra Babu have all visited his gym and expressed satisfaction.

From Kannada filmdom Puneeth Rajakumar, V Ravichandran, Balaji, Vijaya Raghavendra, DArshan, Vinod Prabhakar, Adhi Lokesh all have got training from Ravi and it is Indudhar who committed suicide recently brought Ravi to television field in the mid 90’s.

What is the problem Gym Ravi is facing? The ill treatment to muscular persons like me. They call us to get the beatings and here in Kannada the respect is less compared what I earn in Telugu films. Treat everyone with equal respect is the humble request of Ravi.

I am not after money. I am a crorepathi with good heart and doing social service. For poor children, physically handicap and those who represent the state and want to get training they get free training.

Gym Ravi is from the family of wrestlers. While Ravi is international acclaimed personality his brother Harish who has acted in ‘Appu Pappu’ is the national Mr India champion.

Ravi’s ambition is to make a Kannada film and show it to the world with lot of special ingredients in it. Chiranjeevigaru agrees I would invite him to my film production in Kannada says Ravi with wide smile.

‘I have not lost even a single competition in my life so far’. I have won in the last 20 years 60 national and international gold medals and 70 state level medals to his credit.
