Pawana Gowda hailing from Mandya has been in the industry since 2013 and her films like Jatta, Gombegala Love, Aatagara, Gultoo, Colorful, John Jaani Janardhan, Toothu Madike, Mehabooba, Mysuru Diaries, Fighter and TV serial `Anuraaga` to her list of tinsel town activities as an actress.

In `Rudhri` Pavana plays a rural girl. The film is set in a northern Karnataka backdrop. It is based on a few real life incidents. Her grandmother brings up Rudri. She has been physically violated and after that Rudri showcases her strength and how she changes in life. It is an intense character for Pavana and she considers it as a dream role.

`Rudri` directed by Badiger Devendra in his debut also stars Dayanand Sagar, Harish Kattimani, Supreeth, Pawan and others. Sadhu Kokila has done music for this film.
