RCV AWARD THANGALANNA BIDI SAYS GIRISH KASARAVALLI!

The maximum golden lotus award winner at the national level and international repute Dr Girish Kasaravalli called upon film makers to go in for straight subjects that has relevance to the Kannada Nadu instead of bringing the ‘Enjala Anna’ or rotten rice from other languages in the form of remakes. ‘Kannada Mana Ulisi’ said Dr Girish Kasaravalli in his address as the chief guest of the 33 years Sri Raghavendra Chitravani 9th annual awards held at The Bell Hotel in Bangalore on Monday evening.

In a well arranged, intimate and pleasant evening with Bisibele Bath, Hayagriva, Bonda, coffee and Tea for the invitees the celebration of the awards evening was also memorable like the food served.

Except Smt Protima Devi all the 12 award winners were present on stage with KFCC Present President Basanth Kumar Patil, former President Dr Jayamala, Dr Girish Kasaravalli on stage.

Director Guruprasad receiving the award for songs declared an award for the cinema workers from next year. Janakiram who received the award for being a senior producer donated Rs.5000 cash to Sri Raghavendra Chitravani.

Senior photographer K.N.Nagesh Kumar receiving late K.S.Mallappa award given by KM Veeresh of Chitraloka.com donated Rs.5000 to a poor student Prem of East West School, Bangalore and received applaud.

It was one and half hour RCV awards evening. D.G.Venkatesh welcomed the gathering and offered special thanks to the presence of Dr Girish Kasaravalli who he was asking from last three years to preside.
