It is a history in the pages of Bengaluru Press Club. Two prominent cinema journalists – Veteran Sadashiva Shenoy of BTV (formerly with Lankesh Patrike for decades – director of Kannada cinema Prarthana, author of four books on super stars) and vibrant S Shyamprasad - both SS and SS got elected to the President and Vice President post respectively.

While it was unopposed for the President Sadadhiva Shenoy and he continues his primary post, it has been record for S Shyamprasad Entertainment Editor of Bengaluru Mirror. S Shyamprasad without any cartel individually got highest margin votes of 477 votes while his opponent got just 197 votes.

Kiran HV got 358 votes for General Secretary, Ayesha Khanum gets 209 votes for Secretary, Joint Secretary is Anand P Baidanamane with 273 votes, Treasurer is BN Ramesh with 418 votes.

In the committee members Jyothi MA was unopposed from women reservation while six others are Alfred Teennyson D, Anantha Subramanyam K Lakshmi Prasanna RH, Nagaraj SK, Somashekhar K (Somanna) and Virupakshappa MG.

Returning officer PSB Naidu (Balu) was the returning officer. The voting was held at Bengaluru Press Club at Cubbon Park from morning 9 am to 2 pm today.
