One of the finest actresses who is as beautiful as a queen Shriya Saran is making debut as heroine in Kannada film ‘Chandra’ of talented director Roopa Iyer. Shriya Saran acted in a guest role in the past in Kannada cinema ‘Arasu’ as pair to power Star Puneeth Rajakumar. She is now ‘Chandra’ a royal love story of Roopa Iyer.

It is a matter of pride for me stated over a decade of experienced actress addressing the ‘Chandra’ launch at Chowdaiah Memorial Hall. I have been given a very good role. Thanks Roopa for writing a good role for me. There are small emotions in the role and I would make it a great time she stated. Shriya mother was also invited for a felicitation.

‘Chandra’ official launch was made by Dr Srinath, Hamsalekha and Ripsons India Malhotra and Vishveshwara Bhat in the presence of director Roopa Iyer and Ravi Rajagopal on stage. Prasad of Sammarth Venture, music director Srivatsav joined the team later on.

The unveiling of curtains introduced the heroine Shriya Saran and hero Premkumar.  As both of them walked a little the title of the film was also opened.

I like the discipline of Roopa Iyer stated Mr Malhotra and explained how efficiently she worked for Hindi albums with Karnataka singers. That was two fusion album with 24 songs from music of Srivatsav stated Malhotra.

Vishveshwara Bhat editor of Kannada Prabha and Suvarana satellite channel stated Roopa Iyer hit a six in the first attempt. She is always different quoting a few programs she has conducted.

Roopa is my daughter. She is Nanna Mane Magalu. Dr Srinath profusely appreciated the talent in Roopa Iyer. Love is eternal and this is what this film is showing stated Srinath.

‘Chandra’ is not Karagada but Beluguva Chandra stated music director of high reputation Hamsalekha. I wish all titles in Kannada are Kannada language ones like Mukhaputa and Chandra. Roopa Iyer is a combination of ‘Bharathiyathe, Kriyashilathe and Manaviyathe’ stated Hamsalekha.
