SRI ATHARVANA PRATHYANGIRA FILM READY

Sri Atharvana Pratyangira Kannada film on the highly adored goddess by Sri Sapthagiri Amma writing story, screenplay, directing the film is ready to come before the audience on 22nd of March. The presiding deity temple with 108 feet height gopuram and 18 feet idol of ‘Prathyangiri Amma’ is located at Hosur District, border of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. This is a temple where 7 lakh devotees throng for the festival of ‘Amma’.

 

A brief history about ‘Prathyangira Amman’ - Prathyangira Amman is believed to have been born to calm Narasimha Swami’s anger and to save the world from his wrath after he killed Asuran Hiranyakashipu. One story from our purana states that when Hiranyakashipu was killed, Narasimha swami’s ugraham was unbearable and could not be pacified by other Gods. They feared that his anger might destroy the three worlds and all creations will come to a stand-still. The Gods approached Lord Shiva to help calm Narasimha Swami.

In addition to Kshetra Mahime Sri Sapthagiri Amma has tucked four social issues in the film – the woman at menstruation maintaining distance at sacred places, the impact of collecting compound interest on loan, the life of womanizer and the one who disobey godly power are stitched inside the story. After release of this Kannada film Sri Sapthagiri Amma is planning to release in Tamil.

Sri Brahmananda Guruji (Narendra Swami) famous for his forecast and unique style of advice is also in a role of this film explained at length the significance of Goddess. The Adharma Nashini is what stressed of Prathyangira Amma.

Sri Sapthagiri Amma is confident of devotees catching up with this film. I have made the film from devotee’s contribution and I would return back their money to temple fund he says.

Four songs for the film are in composition of Karuna and Harikanth Sridhar is cameraman of this film.

Anu Krishna a Mallu girl with nearly 10 films to her credit has appeared in the role of ‘Prathyangira Amma’. Roopa Gowda is in the sister role of Anu Krishna.

Murali Krishna has acted in Mantravadi role and also of Hiranyakashipu. He has sung three songs for this film. Mariswamy is in womanizer role.
