Shivrajkumar gets candid on Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM

Shivrajkumar - The Hatrick Hero of Sandalwood made a rare visit to Radio Mirchi, the first ever visit to any FM radio station by him. Shivanna was in Mirchi studios to promote his just released movie ‘Cheluveye Ninne Nodalu’ (CNN) and shared some exclusive details about the making of the movie on Pori Tapori Rachna’s ‘Hi Bengaluru’ show – the morning drive time programme on Radio Mirchi. The all excited and thrilled Mirchi listeners kept Shivanna busy with innumerable questions on his life and movies as he went on-air. The phones kept buzzing constantly at Radio Mirchi studio with fans trying their luck to speak to Shivanna in person. Mirchi RJs and lucky few listeners were seen having a gala time and quizzing the versatile actor about his long prosperous career in Sandalwood, his moments & experiences with Appaji, about celebrating the making of his 100th movie etc. Sharing notes about the movie, the ever young Shivanna exclaimed that, he is glad to be playing a role of a lover boy after a long break and also added that CNN is definitely one of the favorite love characters played by him. Some of his other favorites being Nammoora Mandara Hoove, Janumada Jodi, Rathsaptami etc…Talking about his character in the movie he said, “The character has a philosophical touch to it, at the same time he is a very lively and cheerful guy who has reasons and emotions attached to every aspects of life. Audiences can also see me in couple of Appaji’s avatar and have given my best shot, hope I have been successful to reach atleast 20% of Applaji’s caliber and performance. My favourite is the Bhaktha Kumbaara look”. Responding to Rachna’s query on the secret behind his youthfulness, Shivanna revealed that he never misses his daily dose of fitness be it treadmill or swimming. He also added that, it could the love of his family and friends that has kept him young & energetic throughout. On questioning about his ever brimming down to earth attitude, Shivanna instantaneously attributed to his humble upbringing and inheritance by his father Dr. Rajkumar, an icon who is known for his modesty and humbleness. Speaking about his experience of working with the debutant Raghuram, he said, “It’s good to see some fresh talent being induced into the industry with talented new comers like Raghu. I am really glad to have worked with a young team and had a great time shooting, across the Seven Wonders of the World”One of the excited listeners said, “I am the greatest fan of Shivanna! I have watched all his movies starting from his first movie “Anand” to latest Thamassu. I am looking forward to watching the movie with my friends this weekend. I am so glad that I got a chance to talk to him live on Radio Mirchi!”
