The top actress of Kannada, Tamil and Hindi cinema Smt Bharathi Vishnuvardhana has been recommended for honorary doctorate by Karnataka Open University Mysore while Dada Saheb Phalke award winner VK Murthy and Mukya Mantri Chandru bestowed the same honor by Gulbarga University.

The Gulbarga University and Karnataka Open University communication gives some memorable moment to Kannada cinema industry. The Gulbarga UV function is taking place on 17th of this month.

It was the wish expressed by Dr Vishnuvardhana that Bharthiji should get more awards in life – he has expressed this to media friends on October 14 when media went for luncheon meeting at the stalwart actor’s residence in Jayanagar 4th T block.

The doctorates were given to different universities in Karnataka to icons Rajakumar, Vishnuvardhana, Ashwath, Leelavathi, Saroja Devi, Srinath and a few others in the past.
